Horsham Tigers FC is delighted to announce that it has been awarded Charter Standard Status by the Football Association. This is the FA’s effective “badge of quality”, and to be eligible for it clubs have to fulfil a number of criteria, including:

  • Appointing a Child Welfare Officer

  • Screening all club officials and coaching staff through checks with the Criminal Records Bureau

  • Allocating an officially accredited and trained coach to each team

  • Observing appropriate codes of conduct regarding player, manager and spectator behaviour

The award was confirmed in a presentation by Keveena Mosen, the Sussex County FA’s Football Development Officer, at the commencement of an U9/U10s training session at Hills Farm Lane.

The club intends to use the momentum created by the award of Charter Status to attract additional players in school years 2, 3, 4 and 5, in order to lay the foundation for Horsham Tigers FC teams in future seasons. Parents of boys and girls in these years are invited to contact Richard Harris, the Small Sided Co-ordinator on 01403 255817.
